The New Primal

Happy Saturday Morning! This post is one definitely worth reading if you are not a vegetarian/vegan (if you are…pass this along to a meat eating friend). As a child, my parents would take my brother and I on hikes every weekend and beef jerky was always a hiking snack that was packing into our backpacks for the journey to the waterfalls. As I got older and realized how very unhealthy this snack can be, my jerky intake swindled down to nothing. Now at the ripe old age of 22 I have realized that jerky does not have to be unhealthy! The new primal not only creates a fantastic tasting and healthy beef jerky, they also have TURKEY jerky that is absolutely delicious. These yummy snacks are antibiotic free, without added hormones, gluten free, and support a Paleo diet. Best of all in my eyes is the fact that it is grass fed meat that make these products. While working at Whole Foods in college , I learned a lot about the difference an animal’s diet can make when it comes to human consumption of it. Trust me when I tell you that this is the best jerky out there…. here’s a little excerpt from their page.

Today, retail store aisles are filled with water-inflated, hormone-infused, highly-processed meats because it’s cheaper, and well, some people won’t demand better. Here at The New Primal, we know you’re different and truly care about what you put in your body and even though it’s more effort, our philosophy is to do things the right way, every step of the way. We believe everyone should have a choice to enjoy a healthy and amazing-tasting protein snack. That’s what we’ve set out to accomplish. Join us, won’t you?

I encourage all you meat eating protein seeking readers to try this product out ASAP, I am not one for meat sticks (shown in picture) but even they were delicious as well. The New Primal products are as close to perfection as you can get with jerky and it is the perfect snack for any time of the day but especially after a nice long hike!

Keep On Keeping On
