Crown Maple Syrup and Maple Sugar

When you think of the weather getting cooler do you think of a fresh waffle with maple syrup because I sure do! This morning I had the pleasure of trying out 3 different syrups made by Crown Maple on 3 different pieces of a waffle and all I can say is YUM! Not only is the syrup delicious, the company is based out of DUTCHESS COUNTY NY! Yes you heard it right…this is an NY company and the area holds an especially fond place in my heart since my family has a summer home in Sullivan county and I grew up making annual trips to the Dutchess County Fair.

From bark to bottle, Crown Maple is a defining ingredient, delivering a gourmet maple experience like no other. Crown Maple is estate-produced from forests comprising the Taconic Hardwood Forest, a unique terroir which extends from the New York Eastern Mid-Hudson Valley to Central Western Vermont. Since the brand’s launch, the distinctive taste and versatility has won over discerning professionals and connoisseurs alike, elevating Crown Maple beyond a sweetener and into a defining ingredient.

All products are certified-organic, pairing the best nature has to offer with artisan craftsmanship and state-of-the-art production technology. From bark to bottle, Crown Maple is sustainably made on 800 acres of pristine land at Madava Farms in Dutchess County, New York, and truly sets the standard of excellence in maple production and flavor.

We have all had the plain old Aunt Jemima or Log Cabin maple syrup and we know that it is nothing compared to the REAL stuff ( and if you haven’t tried real maple syrup, you need to immediately). I have had quite a few different maple syrups but Crown Maple seems to be the best! The consistency of the syrup is perfect and not too watery like others I have tried and the flavors are each different (my favorite of the 3 while all were fantastic was the dark)  but have the flavor of a Sunday morning pancake breakfast that we all know and love. The maple sugar is also a little taste of the season, first thing i did when receiving the products was rip open a pack of the sugar to try on my finger and boy is  that stuff flavorful! Maple sugar can be used in tons of recipes and is absolutely fantastic on top of sweet potatoes. While Crown Maple hands down produces the best maple syrup I have had they also have a location that you can visit and get a tour of how their products are made (I have not been there but would LOVE to get up there one weekend).

Inside Crown Maple’s state-of-the-art sugarhouse you’ll trace the miles-long journey our organic maple sap travels in a day from tree to barrel.

Go behind the scenes and learn about the environmental variables and artisanal practices that make pure maple syrup one of the earth’s sweetest natural resources and how Crown Maple produces the exceptional maple products regarded as quite possibly the purest on earth.

This popular 60-minute sweet tour culminates in a guided 5 stage tasting in Madava’s Tap Holed Maple Tasting Room, which offers a full view into Crown Maple’s hand bottling and sugar making operations.

Tours run year-round most Saturdays and Sundays.

My suggestion to you is to go visit and see for yourself how their products are made whole also picking up some syrup right from the source to bring home with you! If you can’t make it out there, you can purchase all of their products online as well as various stores throughout the area (check their website). Enjoy the taste of the season with Crown Maple !

Keep On Keeping On
