Honeydrop Manuka Honey

UPDATE: THE PRICE OF THIS DRINK IS NO LONGER THE PRICE MENTIONED BELOW…IT IS NOW $6.99 IN MOST LOCATIONS! EVEN MORE OF A REASON TO GET OUT THERE AND STOCK UP !

I am one for interesting drinks and this one is sure interesting! Lets begin my saying that Honydrop is yet another BROOKLYN company (YAY!). A few years back after visiting a nutritionist I was told that I should be taking a spoonful of Manuka honey every morning and evening. I didn’t think much of it as I went to my local health food store to pick some up, I was shocked when I saw that 1 small jar of it was $75-$100. I purchased 1 jar since I trusted my health provider but the taste of it was absolutely unbearable to the point of me gaging whenever I took it. After the  jar was finished I did not repurchase the honey since I had such a difficult time taking it. The issue was that Makuka honey can not be mixed into your morning tea because it has live cultures that the heat of the water will kill so the only way to take it (or so i thought) was by the spoonful. About a month ago while shopping I came across Honeydrop and was super excited because it is an apple ginger cold pressed juice that has raw Manuka honey in it. Now, this drink is very pricey for such a small bottle (around $10) I was hesitant to spend that money on such a small bottle but I am glad that I did. The taste is fabulous and nothing like the horrible experiences I had with Manuka honey before! While I am not lucky enough to be able to afford this beverage twice a day like recommended by my nutritionist, I would purchase this if I felt like i was coming down with a cold or caught a bug. The health benefits of this drink are extraordinary and if you are having one of those sluggish days I would recumbent splurging on this drink and picking some up at your local store (check the Honeydrop site to see where it is sold).

Keep On Keeping On
